Does he hear tornado sirens in the distance?

Summer storms are a common occurrence during State Fairs in the Midwest. They appear on hot, humid afternoons, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, ripping through the grounds with much ferocity. First the sky darkens, followed by brisk winds which whip the tents violently. Then the rains¬† come, soaking fair-goers who didn’t get under cover quickly enough. Within minutes, its over. When the sun comes out, the air seems a little cooler and fresher than it was before.
